The Battery Commanders said “You are all going to the heart of the Caribbean basin. The most Northern country of Central America. You will assist in preventing a Guatemalan invasion into the country and assist five (5) Royal Anglian Infantry Regiment. There is a detachment of Harriers based in the north of the country to react to such invasions. A team of SAS are also present in, and will be on hand should the shit hit the fan. Gentlemen, this is a serious operational tour not a holiday.”
